Happy Monday *the 3rd * everyone! This podcast episode was pre-recorded, so this morning's Marvel movie title announcements will be discussed on Fridays 16B episode, alongside the Falcon and the Winter Soldier Behind-the-Scenes episode!
This week's "A" episode starts off by covering a few of my comic picks from last week, including Silk, Beta Ray Bill, and a few fun others! Then I go straight into this week's Pull List, discussing the notable comics coming out this week, which includes a new Red Sonja series by legendary creators, more America Chavez, some stellar indie comics, and Sensational Wonder Woman--the women-led anthology series celebrating Diana's 80th anniversary!
After a brief discussion of the recent 9th episode of Black Lightning's final season, I get to talk about season one of INVINCIBLE on Amazon Prime! The finale aired this past week, so if you don't want spoilers: skip this section! It was a surprising show, based off another infamous Robert Kirkman comic series. I wrap up the Geek TV section with some brief comments on the Netflix She-Ra series, which I watched for the first time this weekend!
Last is the news, which includes casting announcements from the HBO Green Lantern project and Titans season three, creator announcements from the Static Shock and Iron Heart projects, and my personal favorite of the bunch, the announcement of a new Sailor Moon movie coming to Netflix June 3rd!
I'll be back for episode 16B this Friday, May 7th, to discuss this week's new and noteworthy comic books, the Falcon and the Winter Solider episode of Assembled on Disney+, this morning's MCU title announcements and teases, and any other news or speculation that hits between now and then! I hope to see you back for that next episode, but either way--have empathy towards others, and remain authentically sweaty.

Ep.15B: Brief Podcast Announcement/Intermission
Friday Apr 30, 2021
Friday Apr 30, 2021
Heyo guys so this is obviously not an actual podcast episode, due to technical hardware and internet difficulties. I'm so sorry if that disappoints anyone (but also yay! regular listeners!), but I will be back like usual Monday with our regularly scheduled episode 16A, featuring next week's comic book pull list and a discussion of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier Behind the Scenes, which premiers today on Disney+! I'll also go over anything we missed from this week by way of news and speculation, so no one misses out on the fun of comics in pop culture!
Again, my apologies if this is a disappointment, but I will be back with a make-up episode Monday, May 3rd!
Till then, toodles!

Happy Pink-Moon Monday!
This week's A episode starts off with the big-ticket item for the day: the finale of Falcon and the Winter Solder! It was a great wrap-up, and I discuss all the deets here.
Then I talk about the Mortal Kombat movie on HBO Max, which I had a lot of fun with! I also had a great time this weekend binging Invincible on Amazon Prime, and I talk about my thoughts on the show thus-far, before it has its finale this Friday. No spoilers for Invincible, that'll be next week!
I have some thoughts bout the Shang Chi movie, as well, specifically the character of Awkwafina's Katy and the mysterious "Great Protector" dragon. After that, it's finally into the new comics Pull List for the week, which includes spotlights on women, LGBTQ+, and creators of color. I wrap this segment up with a tip on how you might be able to get a very valuable comic this week from your own local comic shop, so stick around to check that out! I wrap things up with a few announcements based on DC and Marvel's July comics solicitations.
I'll be back Friday, April 30th, to discuss what was best from this week's new comic book day, as well as any other comic industry or geeky news and updates! Have a sweaty week!

Friday Apr 23, 2021
Hello there!
This week's Friday "B" episode starts off with New Comic Book Day, discussing about my favorite things from this week's comic book releases! The talk includes great indie titles like The Many Deaths of Laila Starr #1, Luna #3, and Monstress #43, plus a bunch of goodies from Marvel, like The Mighty Valkyries #1, the Eternals #4, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Woman, the Women of Marvel anthology one-shot, and DC's Catwoman.
Then it's on the Black Lightning season 4 episode 8, which was a bit of a filler/catch-up episode after last week's Painkiller pilot, but there was still a lot to discuss and look forward to for next time.
For news and updates, we have casting conformations for the Flash movie at DC and Thor: Love and Thunder at Marvel, plus some casting news and speculation for the upcoming Marvel Secret Wars show on Disney+!
I wrap things up with the new Sony streaming updates, and finally some excited chatter about the forthcoming Wonder Girl series by Joelle Jones, staring Yara Flor!
I'll be back Monday, April 26th for discussing the Falcon and the Winter Soldier finale, as well as HBO's Mortal Kombat movie! Have a great weekend, and get sweaty about your favorite nerdy stuff!

Monday Apr 19, 2021
Good Monday everyone and what a Monday it is! I woke up this morning to see the first teaser trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings had dropped online! What a superb wat to start a sweaty week.
But first! I start the episode talking this week's comic book pull list, spotlighting comics written by and starring women. These also happen to be my favorite comics coming out this week, and include Luna #3, Monstress #33, Women of Marvel #1, Spider-Woman #11, and Captain Marvel #28. There are a lot of other comics I discuss as well, but those are the headliners of the week!
After that, it's the regular Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode discussion, this week covering Friday's episode five. Following last week's bombshell, there was a lot to unpack, and we're definitely getting to a precipice of fan speculation. All discussed here!
Then, finally, we can talk about Shang-Chi, and why there are so many reasons to be excited for this ground-breaking MCU film. From Awkwafina to the San Francisco backdrop; from the comics inspiration to modern Asian-American culture---of all the segments this week, I was most looking forward to discussing this teaser, as the movie behind it is such an important step. I hope I do it justice in explaining why.
I don't like ending things on a negative note, so after the unfortunate rumors of Black Lightning versus Superman and Lois, I go through the Entertainment Weekly article posted today, coinciding with the Shang-Chi teaser, really just reaffirming my point about what an iconic and paramount moment in film and comics history this movie will be.
As usual, I'll be back Friday, April 23rd, to discuss this week's comic book picks--things I enjoyed or were otherwise noteworthy from this week's comic book releases, as well as any industry or relevant pop culture news. Until then, as always, find something to get sweaty about, and sweat it out unabashedly.

Friday Apr 16, 2021
Happy Friday everyone! This week's B episode starts with the regular New Comic Book Day Picks, covering what I loved best from this week's comic book releases. This week's picks include Batman and Oracle stories, Daredevil, Iron Man, Karmen, Home Sick Pilots, Black Cat, and Children of the Atom!
The comics chat is followed by a discussion of Black Lightning Season 4, all the way up to the most recent episode, ep.7, "Painkiller." Then there are announcements about what's coming up in comics later this year, including an unexpected Batman/Catwoman annual and the new World War She-Hulk event for the Avengers series! There's a lot to unpack with the latter announcement, including my own personal connection with the character of Jennifer Walters. Finally, the episode wraps up with some brief DCEU casting news.
I'll be back Monday, April 19th for an all-new podcast episode covering next week comics pull list, Falcon and the Winter Soldier ep. 5, and any news or updates that break between now and then! It's a great time to be a nerd, so be kind and sweat it out!
Monday Apr 12, 2021
Monday Apr 12, 2021
Hello folks! This Monday episode starts by covering the new comic pull list for this week! With a ton of great material coming out, I focus on characters like Barbara Gordon, Patsy Walker, and Elektra, and talk great indie titles like Karmen, Maniac of New York, Homesick Pilots, and more! As always, make sure to stop by your Local Comic Shop if you are able to see what other new comics they have to suggest!
After the comics, around the 48minute mark I get into Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 4! What a big one it was, too! Super Serum, Battlestar, Karli's complicated fate, the Dora Milajae, and everything in-between is fully discussed! There are just two episodes of the show left, so make sure you're all caught up and explained!
I was planning on spending some time razzing Warner Bro's for having kind of screwed themselves over, but there's enough negativity in the world, so I only do some slight razzing before moving onto much the more interesting topic of Extreme Carnage! Following in the footsteps of Maximum and Absolute, Extreme Carnage is a Marvel event that will follow all the Life Foundation symbiotes and some surprises--discussed on this episode! As a major fan of Scream and of the Life Foundation symbiotes, this event is going to be a blast, and I discuss all the info here.
I'll be back for another podcast episode this Friday, April 16th, where we'll discuss what was great, terrible, and/or notable in this week's comic releases! And, of course, I'll be going over whatever comic-in-pop-culture news, theories, speculations or updates we get between now and then, too! In the meantime, have a productive week, and stay sweaty!

Friday Apr 09, 2021
Greetings one and all! This Friday episode starts by covering New Comic Book Day! Significant reads for me think week were America Chavez: Made in the USA #2, the announcement of the new Phoenix in Avengers #44, the continual excellence in Far Sector #11, the wild delight of Sonjaversal #3, my first steps into the universe of Magic: the Gathering with its new #1, a new favorite Wonder Woman story in Sensational Wonder Woman #2, and more!
Then I address some heavy hitting rumors that spread this week, including Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire and the animated 90's Spider-Man appearing in Into the Spider-Verse 2. Neither rumor has sources, but one has a lot more room to stand on, and I discuss what that might mean.
I've been binge-watching Black Lightning on Netflix, and have finally seen all the episodes available there! I go over the post-season 3 status-quo, and where I hope to see things go as I start season 4.
Finally, today had a long-awaited announcement for the upcoming Avengers Campus at Disney's California Adventure! Disney Parks Blog posted a first look at what to expect from the new Land, and being the Disney kid I was raised to be, I talk all about what the article teases, as well as some insights to how Disney usually handles these Lands versus what we'll be seeing, due to the limited opening at the parks starting later this month.
\I'll be back Monday, April 12th to discuss the new comic week pull list, Falcon and the Winter Soldier Ep. 4, and more comic book and comic industry news! Have a sweaty weekend!
Monday Apr 05, 2021
Monday Apr 05, 2021
Whattup, nerds? Today's Monday episode starts by covering this week's comic book Pull List, including spotlights on comics with representation of marginalized peoples. Those include Green Lantern #1, America Chavez: Made in the USA #2, Far Sector #11, and a few others. Comics will be out on the 6th and 7th this week!
Friday's Falcon and the Winter Solider episode 3 had some gems to take in, and I discuss it all here! From Madripoor to Wakanda, from Zemo to Sharon Carter; I'm talking comic inspiration, speculation, and characterization.
The weekend gave us a new look at a fresh Black Widow trailer, and this morning's Loki trailer was a nice surprise to wake up to! I break down both trailers in this episode to see what we're working with for these blockbuster characters.
Finally, after briefly mentioning it in the last episode, I go fully into Godzilla VS Kong, discussing the pros and cons and best moments of what's really just a fun monster battle movie.
I'll be back Friday, April 9th with a new episode (12B) covering this week's comic book picks and notable events, plus all the news and speculation that comes with a geek-driven era of pop-culture. It's a good time to be a nerd! See you Friday, and stay sweaty!
Friday Apr 02, 2021
Friday Apr 02, 2021
Happy Friday everyone! This week's episode 11B starts off with my comic book picks of the week! I discuss what was so great about the premier issue of Silk vol.3, Tom King's Batman/Catwoman #4 and Strange Adventures #9, Beta Ray Bill #1 being a pleasant surprise, Johnathon Hickman's X-Men #19 and Decorum #7 (phenomenal interiors by Mike Huddleston!), and Black Cat and her new nemesis! It was such a great comics week, there's certain to be something for everyone.
I actually do NOT discuss Superman and Lois ep. 6 this week, because it's been pushed back to May 18th, and I discuss why in the podcast!
In the news and rumors segment, I talk about the greatness that would be Beta Ray Bill in Thor: Love and Thunder, Bart Allen being cast in the Flash TV series, some rumors about characters who might make it into the Eternals movie, and a fun (if somewhat pointless) exploration of who Rihanna would play in the MCU.
The bad news of the week comes in the form of a DCEU announcement that we knew was coming, but it still hurts to have it confirmed.
Finally, I talk about the new Bad Batch trailer and the Suicide Squad's second trailer, both of which look like they'll be a ton of fun!
The episode wraps up with a note about my website, sensationalshegeek.weebly.com, where I will be uploading my Podcast Notes to later today, in case anyone prefers to read than listen to me, or for anyone hearing impaired.
In any case, I'll be back Monday, April 5th to discuss the new episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the next week's comic book pull list, and more industry news! In the meantime, stay sweaty, and love animals.
Monday Mar 29, 2021
Monday Mar 29, 2021
Happy Monday, folks! This week's "A" episode starts off with Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 2 discussion, including Isiah Bradley, the Flag Smashers, John Walker, and Zemo!
As I mentioned in the last episode, I owe it to myself/the universe to watch Black Lightning, especially since I'm watching Superman and Lois. I'm almost done with season 1, so I give some background on the comic versions of the characters and discuss the show as a whole so far. And so far, it's just as good as Superman and Lois, at least!
After reacting to the Suicide Squad trailer from James Gunn last Friday, today I go through each team member for a quick who's-who of cast and characters, then this week's comic book Pull List is joined by Spotlights on Representation of characters of color, LQBTQ+ themes, and women in comics, before heading back into news!
Some MCU concept art leaked last week, so I felt it was worth mentioning, as well as the recent MODOK show casting news and today's Obi-Wan Kenobi cast announcement!
Finally, Comic Con San Diego is making some questionable decisions for fall 2021, but at least the DCEU and MCU lineups for 2022 look unbelievable! No, really. I do expect a few films to get pushed into 2023. Still, it does remain an amazing time to be a nerd.
I'll be back this Friday, April 2nd, to discuss the best and most noteworthy moments of this week's comic books, as well as whatever industry news might break between now and then! In the meantime, be good to your fellow man, and stay sweaty!
Friday Mar 26, 2021
Ep.10B: NCBD Picks, Black Adam, Zatanna, MCU Dates, SUICIDE SQUAD, and more!
Friday Mar 26, 2021
Friday Mar 26, 2021
Happy Friday! This week' episode start with the usual New Comic Book Day picks, including Batman Black and White #4, Cable #9, Harley Quinn #1, Batman: White Knight Presents: Harley Quinn #6, and King in Black: Scream #1! First issues, final issues, and one-shots make up my favorite moments from this week's comics.
Then there's this week's Superman and Lois discussion, covering episode 5 of the CW series--and I'll be starting Black Lightning, soon! Then it's on to movie news, with updates for the cast and crew of Black Adam and Zatanna, then some announcements regarding the releases of some key Marvel and Disney releases. Finally, I spend a few minutes talking about Marvel's new distribution plans with Penguin Random House, and what that might affect.
Bonus segment on the The Suicide Squad trailer, just as it premiers! This is gonna be a blast! See you next on Monday, 3/29, for discussing the 2nd episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and stay sweaty!
Monday Mar 22, 2021
Monday Mar 22, 2021
This Monday episode starts off with my discussion of Zack Snyder's Justice League! I go though the 12(ish) points of expectation I laid out last Monday (ep. 9A) based on what we had been promised by Snyder himself, as well as some additional general thoughts. Spoilers abound, of course, in what ends up a really fun reviewing of this long, and long-awaited, redo.
Then I go into the first episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which premiered last Friday! The series is off to a stupendous start, giving much-desired insight into fan-favorite characters who previously didn't have as much development or screen time as their fellow heroes. The episode showed not only a plethora of spinning-off points for plot, but also how Disney Marvel is so ready and able to tap into multiple genres of filmmaking for their wide variety of comic book properties--and it works!
After the live-action discussions, we're left with comic books themselves! Discussing this week's new comic book Pull List, including spotlights on various aspects of comic representation. Finally, I cover the announced and relevant Marvel comics solicitations for June, which brings new series', final issues, and a few noteworthy titles.
Come back on Friday March 26th for another new episode, discussing what stood out from this week's new comic books, as well as whatever geek-culture news and updates rear up between now and then! Stay Sweaty!
Friday Mar 19, 2021
Friday Mar 19, 2021
Happy Friday! This week's New Comic Book Day had some excellent stories about some of my favorite comic book women: Jessica Drew, Carol Danvers, and Patsy Walker! While I talk about all of them, Patsy really won the week for me, personally, leaving me actually excited to pick up an issue of Iron Man!
I haven't watched Falcon and the Winter Soldier ep. 1 yet, or any of the Snyder Justice League, so I'll go over those on the next Monday episode. In the meantime, there's a lot worth discussing from episode 4 of Superman and Lois, and so many theories to be had!
Industry news for this episode includes CW Naomi casting announcements, Netflix Cowboy Bebop updates, Free Comic Book Day 2021 titles, and DC's June comic book solicitations, which offer a wellspring of theorizing what will happen between now and then, and beyond!
I'll be back with another episode this coming Monday, March 22nd, talking in-depth Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Zack Snyder's Justice League, and what's coming out next for the new comics week! Stay Sweaty!
Monday Mar 15, 2021
Monday Mar 15, 2021
Happy Monday, people! I flipped the agenda this week, starting off instead with this week's comic book Pull List, including spotlights for Women's History Month on the life and times of four favorite female characters appearing in this week's comic titles! They are: Carol Danvers, Patsy Walker, Jessica Drew, and Selina Kyle! Their lives are so much more than what appears on the surface, and here I discuss how the best way to write or appreciate these women is to remember ALL their history as a whole, not just the parts you preferred.
After that, since WandaVision is over, I talk about its behind-the-scenes episode, titled, Assembled: the Making of WandaVision! There were a few key points worth learning, but it was mostly just a fun look at the process of putting the actors together in this kind of setting. Following that, I also have a discussion of the third episode of Superman and Lois and the CW network, which I continue to greatly enjoy!
Then I have another segment on the upcoming SnyderCut! Zack Snyder's four-hour Justice League premiers in six parts this Thursday, so in this episode I break down the 12 (or so) major expectations I have for the film, based on claims made by Snyder himself. It's been years leading up to this final product, and he's been pumping it up the whole time, so he's made some pretty big shoes for himself to fill, and I'm excited to see how it all works out!
It all wraps up with brief notes of excitement for the premier of Falcon and the Winter Solider this Friday (which I will discuss next Monday!), and some general thoughts on today's Oscar nominee announcements.
The next podcast episode is coming this Friday, 3/19, where I will be talking comic book picks--things I enjoyed or are noteworthy out of this week's comic book releases. And, of course, I'm sure there will be plenty of comics in pop culture news, and I'll probably have a few words to say about the first episode or two of Snyder's Justice League.
Stay Sweaty!
Friday Mar 12, 2021
Friday Mar 12, 2021
This Friday, we're talking our usual New Comic Book Day discussions, which includes a great variety of comics! Maria Llovet's Luna #2, Guillem March's Karmen #1, Harley and Ivy finally being confirmed together in the DCU, the ever-phenomenal Daredevil run, two different versions of Wonder Woman, and more are part of this week's reviews!
On the news side of things, there's an unfortunate continuance of negativity towards and surrounding Disney, their ownership of Star Wars, and the people they keep, or don't keep, around. But, then we have two Marvel comics announcements, including the new Planet Size X-Men one-shot and the upcoming Infinite Destinies event, and theories regarding both. It all wraps up with breaking news from AT&T Investor Day, including news on Batgirl and Zatanna!
I'll be back with a new episode Monday, March 15th, discussing the Making of WandaVision, Superman and Lois ep. 3, and spotlighting representation in the coming week's comics! Stay Sweaty!
Monday Mar 08, 2021

Monday Mar 08, 2021
Monday Mar 08, 2021
Happy International Women's Day!
Here at last! This week, of course, I am covering the stupendous finale of Marvel's WandaVision on Disney+! Between Agatha Harkness, Vision and White Vision, Monica Rambeau and Fietro, witchy magic casting, villainous monologues, emotional turmoil, Wanda's true potential, Skrulls, and a beautiful Incredible Hulk (2008) homage, I talk WandaVision ep. 9 for about an hour! And for good reason, we're initiating a new era of the MCU, here!
After I wrap up WandaVision, I cover this week's new comics that I'm looking forward to. Don't forget to check with your local comic shop about what else is coming out, I only represent a fraction of actual releases! Though this week DOES have a lot of stellar "indie" titles coming out, including LUNA #2 and KARMEN #1.
This episode wraps up with brief WandaVision Merch announcements and getting pumped up about the next Disney+ Marvel show: Falcon and the Winter Soldier, premiering March 19th! I'll be doing similar breakdowns on my Monday podcasts, as I did with WandaVision.
I'll be back for a new podcast episode Friday, March 12th, to talk about what I most enjoyed--or was most noteworthy--in this week's comic book releases! And as we get closer to the FATWS and SnyderCut premiers, more comics in media news is bound to roll in! Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this episode, and have a sweaty week!

Friday Mar 05, 2021
This week's New Comic Book Day was FULL of amazing, thrilling surprises! In this week's new comics discussions, I cover the stunning beauty of Demon Days: X-Men, the return of a favorite character in America Chavez: Made in the USA, and the honest realities of Nubia: Real One. Plus-- DC's Infinite Frontier, Sonjaversal, Chariot, and more! I love seeing such quality material surrounding comic women and female creators!
In news and announcements from the broader nerd industries this week, we have an Obi-Wan Kenobi casting announcement, a new Tom King comic series, updates from San Diego Comic Con, renewals and release dates, and finally-- the Big Rumor of Marvel's The Mutants. Even though a lot of the news talk tends to be speculation, it's always fun to imagine what's in store!
I'll be back with another full-length podcast episode MONDAY March 8th, where the bulk of the episode will be covering the WandaVision finale!
Monday Mar 01, 2021

Monday Mar 01, 2021
Surprise, an extra episode! I wanted to talk about the premier of the CW's Superman and Lois show from last week before episode two this week, because I was surprised how much I liked it! There was plenty of material to discuss and theorize about, and I'm thrilled with the direction it looks like this show is taking.
The next podcast Special will be at an undetermined time! Keep an eye out ;)
Monday Mar 01, 2021
Monday Mar 01, 2021
Happy Monday! Episode 8 of WandaVision was QUITE the episode, and we're starting to use some heavy-duty comic book terminology (chaos and nexus and probability, oh my!), so after my in-depth discussion of the episode's events, I go into explaining Wanda/Scarlet Witch's comic book origins and powers! Even though we're winding down to the last episode, there's still so much left to theorize about, and I cover it all, and more, here.
This week's comic book Spotlights on Representation include four much-awaited #1 issues: Demon Days, Wiccan and Hulkling, Sensational Wonder Woman, and the new America Chavez series! Brief overview of other New Comics this week is followed by a string of mixed-media news and rumors, including Aquaman 2, Red Sonja on Netflix, MCU schedules and more!
March is officially Women's History Month! Check out my website Sensational She-Geek Blog for the reading orders of my favorite female comic characters, with some including complete summaries of events!
I'll be back Friday, March 5th for a new episode covering this weeks New Comics Releases, as well as any new geek-media news and announcements! Stay Sweaty!

On the other end of Superhero Cinema News Spectrum, we have the first look at Titans on HBO Max's Blackfire in full costume, plus the breaking news announcement of a Superman movie being written by Ta Nahisi Coates and produced by JJ Abrams!

Monday Feb 22, 2021
Since it's Monday, I'm talking A LOT about WandaVision episode 7--and what an episode it was! Monica's powers, Darcy filling in Vision, the unravelling of the Hex, and of course the long-awaited reveal of Agatha Harkness! What is she up to? I've got so many thoughts to share! (about 40 minutes worth!)
Then for this week's New Comic Book Day, I spotlight some of the comics that stand for excellent representation of characters and creators of color, LGBTQ+/Queer topics, and/or women in comics, the generally more marginalized groups of this industry. Plus, I include a brief explanation of the upcoming "Fine Art" Black Black Panther variants, and a general run-down on what else I'm excited for this week in new comics!
More MCU and DCEU film and TV casting announcements from the week are followed by what's becoming a regular segment on Zack Snyder's continuing Justice League pre-promotion, all wrapped up with a note on the Fantastic Four rumors and Hasbro's continued action figure flailing.
I'll be back this Friday, Feb. 26th for discussion and review of this week's New Comic Books! These episodes are getting progressively longer...What can I say? It's a great time to be a nerd, and it's an excellent era to try new comics! Stay sweaty!

Friday Feb 19, 2021
Good Friday, everyone! There was a lot to talk about from New Comic Releases this week, including Future State titles, King in Black, Black Widow, indie comics, Throg's background explained, and remember to check out episode 5A for an explanation on Batman/Catwoman and their relationship if you're at all lost or curious about how we got to this point in issue #3!
News and announcements continue to pour out of the industry, so in the comics and geek-media segments I talk about some miscellaneous Zack Snyder VS DC/Warner projects, Disney's Cruella and the Mortal Kombat trailers, some Multiverse of Madness news and theories, and then finally--the Spawn Universe! I'm thrilled to be excited about this new Image project, listen to find out why!
The next episode will be MONDAY, Feb. 22nd, where I will be discussing this week's WandaVision episode in depth, plus what I'm looking forward to in comics next week! Stay Sweaty!
Monday Feb 15, 2021
Monday Feb 15, 2021
Happy Monday! Today I'm talking thoughts and theories on WandaVision's sixth episode, and there is a LOT to cover! From Pietro to Monica's "contact," the episode is fully discussed here.
Afterwards, I talk about Zack Snyder's Justice League, which had its "first" trailer yesterday, which in turn made it even more relevant to talk about the ongoing scandals surrounding writer/director Joss Whedon, who took over the original Justice League project after Snyder stepped away.
Plus, in preemption to Batman/Catwoman #3 (of 12) tomorrow, I walk through Tom King's love story for the two DC characters, explaining the history as he's laid it out, how it relates to what's happening in the current series, and breaking down my thoughts and theories on the series so far.
Finally, a note of explanation on the term "sweaty" and it's originator, Jon Schnepp, and some brief discussion on what I'm looking forward to in new comics this week. There's always a lot to talk about in this industry, so hour-long episodes might become the new norm...
Friday Feb 12, 2021

Accidental hour long episode! What can I say? There's a lot to get sweaty about!
This week's New Comic Book Day big episode for big nerds covers releases from Feb. 9th and 10th, 2021, including Future State's Justice League and Superwoman, Reign of X's Excalibur and X-Factor, King in Black Daredevil, Eternals, and then some indie favorites.
After the week of announcements, news, and theorizing that we've had, I had to talk about some pop culture news, too! Including MODOK series news, more Falcon and the Winter Soldier thoughts, the remaining Marvel Women's History Month comics, DC's announcement of an Asian Superhero anthology, a certain Star Wars firing, SnyderCut and Captain Marvel 2 news, and a brief discussion of comic book romances for Valentine's Day!
My next episode will be 5A on Monday, Feb. 15th, talking about this week's new WandaVision episode, other comics in media, and more! It's SUCH a good time to be a nerd. See you Monday, and Happy Lunar New Year!
