Hello, listeners! This week's B episode is a touch shorter than usual, s I'm recording it on Thursday instead of the usual Friday, and a number of Indie comics were delayed to my shop. Still, we have a great discussion of my favorite (so far) new comic book day picks, including The Me You Love in the Dark #1, X-Men #2, and Suicide Squad: Get Joker #1!
The news is mainly taken up by not-quite-official announcements of a few castings for the Ahsoka show on Disney+, and what that would mean for the plot of the live-action show.
Finally, the episode wraps up with a discussion of the upcoming Trail of Magento series by Leah Williams and Lucas Werneck. The discussion includes the recent preview pages, statements from the creators, and my personal theories based on the histories of the characters.
I'll be back like usual Monday, August 9th for episode 29A, where I will be discussing James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, out this weekend! I'll also cover the next week's comic book pull list, and the second-to-last episode of Star Wars: the Bad Batch! Have a stellar weekend, do good, and be sweaty.

Monday Aug 02, 2021
Another Monday, another weekly A podcast episode! Today, we kick things off with the weekly comic book pull list. I'm delighted to be doing spotlights on comics of excellent representation again this week, including Maria Llovet's Porcelain, Victoria Douglas' Cinnamon, Taboo and B. Earl's Spirit Rider, the second Horizon Zero Dawn series, and more! This week has the final issue of Maurene Goo and Takeshi Miyazawa's Silk series, the second-to-last of Sensational Wonder Woman, and a good deal of other #1's!
Then it's on to Friday's episode of the Bad Batch--ep. 14. While it ended with a serious problem for the Batch, it was an intriguing episode as we close in to the end of this 16-episode series!
After that is my discussion of the new trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage! It looks pretty fun, but Woody Harrelson is no doubt going to totally steal the show.
Finally, I end the episode with a discussion spurred by a recent online article/interview with Matt Damon, and the problematic ideas it presented. TL;DR: the end of theaters is not the end of entertainment media, and the writer should have done some--any-- comic book research.
I'll be back this Friday, August 6th with episode 28B, focusing on comic book Picks from this week's NCBD! Don't forget Friday is also the premier of James Gunn's the Suicide Squad, in theaters and on HBO Max! I'll be watching it then and reviewing it on my episode next Monday, 29A, on Aug. 9th! Till then, stay hydrated, don't cast judgement, and get sweaty over your hobbies.

Friday Jul 30, 2021
It's Friday, everyone! This week's "B" episode is a little shorter than what I've been putting out recently because there was no Wednesday media to dissect, and the news was a bit quiet. Still, I have a long list of new comics from this week to discuss, including Mirka Andolfo's Sweet Paprika #1, Barbaric and Batman Reptilian #2, and the final issues of Cable, Beta Ray Bill, and Eternals.
Since comics talk makes up the bulk of this episode, I didn't list any time stamps to follow, but the news and rumors segments is at the end! Covering Mirka Andolfo's Red Sonja, Shang Chi marketing, Michael B Jordan's Superman movie, and some more MCU rumors!
I'll be back on Monday, AUGUST 2nd for another episode covering the weekly comic book pull list, tonight's episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and whatever other relevant news hits the internet between now and then! Till that time, stay safe, stay hungry, and keep it sweaty.
Monday Jul 26, 2021
Monday Jul 26, 2021
Hiya, folks! This Monday brings us a HUGE comic book pull list for the week, including a total of 21 comics discussed! Highlights include the Mighty Valkyries, Batman Reptilian, Sonjaversal, Strange Adventures, and the return of Amazing Fantasy! These comics will come out Wednesday the 28th, or Tuesday the 27th for DC comics.
After a short blurb on the 13th episode of the Bad Batch, I'm covering Marvel's October solicitations! We did DC last week, so it's only fair. There are a ton of exciting things coming out in October, and I've picked out a bunch of ones I'm looking forward to!
I had to stop the normal podcast, at this point, to talk about something important I forgot to mention last Friday: Marauders #22, which undid a long-ago wrong to a strong female character who always deserved better. Not only did they undo the wrong, they made it so she never went through the worsts of it in the first place. Now that's a retcon I can completely get on board with, and I talk about the meaningful details here.
After a little MCU and Pokemon project news, the podcast today wraps up with a list of Eisner Award winners! The awards were granted over the weekend when Comic Con San Diego would normally be happening, and I'm thrilled to recognize a number of the titles and creators.
I'll be back this coming Friday, July 30th for our last July episode, covering the new comics Pick list, breaking news and speculation, and whatever else becomes relevant between now and then! Till then, have an excellent week, and stay sweaty.

Friday Jul 23, 2021
Happy Friday! Today's podcast starts with the comic book pick list, including The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, Superman and the Authority, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and more! I had a great time with some of the reads from this week, and am so excited to go over this discussion!
After that is the discussion of the Loki Assembled behind-the-scenes episode, which was far superior to the first two! We got some delightful insights to some of the best parts of the show, and enough crew interviews to get a good feel of the making of the show.
For news this week, we're talking Dune's trailer, castings for Batgirl and an unknown (but exciting!) Wakanda Forever role, and update on the Galactus HasLab project!
I'll be back this coming Monday, July 26th, for another A episode featuring the weekly comic book pick list, tonight's episode of the Bad Batch, and more news and speculation! Until then, stay kind, and stay sweaty.

Monday Jul 19, 2021
Hey, guys, I'm back! After a week of furiously moving from one side of the county to the other, I finally have my desk and electronics set up to record!
Having missed the pat week, it's no question why this episode is over 2 hours long! Here's the scoop:
1) Black Widow Movie Discussion, covering Easter eggs, theories, minor gripes, and excitement for the future of Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova!
2) (@ 1hr, 2min) LOKI episode 6 (FINALE!) Discussion, including comic book history, references, what this means for the future of the MCU, speculation, and general reactions.
3) (@ 1hr, 22min) The Bad Batch episodes 11 and 12! Where the Rebels and Bad Batch animated shows collide!
4) (@ 1hr, 27min)Last Week's Pick List and this week's pulls. Covering the best of the bet in comic book releases, and what I'm excited for this coming week!
5) (@ 1hr, 44min) DC Comics October Solicitations! Talking all the news and upcoming new comics series', including a whole lot of Wonder Woman for Diana's 80th anniversary!
6) Hasbro's Haslabs! Yes, there are TWO this year!
I wrap the episode up with a note on my personal life changes, including striving for self improvement.
I'll be back with a new episode this coming Friday, July 23rd, where I will discuss the week's comic book pick list, the Loki behind-the-scenes episode, and anything else newsworthy! Till then, keep your head up, keep hydrated, and keep it sweaty.
Friday Jul 09, 2021
Friday Jul 09, 2021
Happy Friday, happy New Moon, and happy Black Widow day!
Today's episode starts off with the weekly comic book pick list, including a number of fantastic reads! My favorites were Wonder Girl #2, X-Men #1, Karmen #5, Mamo #1, the Good Asian #3, and several others! I wasn't so keen on what Jason Aaron is doing to Jen Walters in Avengers, though.
After the pick list is the weekly LOKI discussion, this time covering Wednesday's 5th episode! There was a lot revealed, a lot to see and laugh about, and some incredible theories after this second-to-last episode! The podcast this week wraps up with the news from Marvel's What If...? show, coming next month on Disney+! It'll be a wild ride and a fun, creative look at what could have happened differently in the MCU.
I'll be back on Monday, July 12th to discuss BLACK WIDOW as well as the Bad Batch episode 11, and the weekly comics pull list! Don't miss out!
Tuesday Jul 06, 2021
Tuesday Jul 06, 2021
Hello everyone! This week's "A" episode is coming out on Tuesday instead of Monday due to the holiday over the weekend! Sorry if that threw anyone off!
The bulk of this Tuesday podcast episode follows my weekly comic pull list. This week I discuss 13 different new comics, including the beginnings of X-Men, Ordinary Gods, Mamo, and Fights Girls, the ending of Karmen, my thoughts on the coming World War She-Hulk, and nothing but excitement and admiration for Wonder Girl and Sensational Wonder Woman!
Following the pull list is the discussion of the most recent episode of Star Wars: the Bad Batch. Episode 10 was titled Common Ground, and was a great one for fans of droids and proving Omega's usefulness. Finally, I wrap up the episode by addressing the new rumors surrounding Wolverine in the MCU. <3 Logan <3
I'll be back this coming Friday, July 9th, for episode 25B, where we will discuss Loki episode 5, the comic book Pick list, and more industry news and speculation! And don't forget, Black Widow is Friday, as well! We'll discuss THAT one on Monday, 7/12!
Friday Jul 02, 2021
Friday Jul 02, 2021
Good morning people! Today is Friday July 2nd, and this is episode 24B! This week's Friday episode starts off with the comic book Pick list: things I found great or interesting from the week's new comic book day reads. Some of the heavy-hitters for me were Barbaric #1, X-Factor #10, and Monstress #35, among the total of 11 discussed this week!
After the picks list is the discussion of Loki episode four on Disney+! This week's episode was far superior to the last, IMO, with a plethora of tidbits to pick up on, theories to speculate about, and reveals to excite us all! That end credits scene, whew! I go over the whole shebang, here.
Then it's the news! There won't be an episode of Superman and Lois for the next few weeks, which is honestly fine, but the big ticket news item of the day is the Trial of Magneto! After the ending events of X-Factor #10, Leah Williams is bringing fab artist Lucas Werneck to this 2+ issue arc starting in August. Paired with a stunning Mark Brooks homage to Michelangelo's Pieta, this series is a lot to look forward to!
The episode wraps up today with brief discussion of the leaked and subsequently announced Spider-Man 3 suit for Peter Parker. It's design tells us a few important things about the movie, which is coming out in December.
I'll be back on Empire Day--this Monday, July 5th, for episode 25A, discussing the comic comics book pull list, tonight's episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and any breaking news and announcements!
Monday Jun 28, 2021
Monday Jun 28, 2021
Another Monday, another podcast "A" episode! This week starts off with the usual Pull list, where we have a handful of annuals and anniversary issues, a handful of #1's, and some great indie and cape comics!
After the pull list, I'm delighted to go over the most recent episode of Star Wars' The Bad Batch on Disney+, which was episode 9! This one was probably my favorite episode of the show yet, and there are a lot of cool reveals to be discussed!
Finally, I end the episode on some Harley Quinn discussion, specifically revolving around the often continued "queer coding" of her character. While Harley and Ivy officially came "out" as romantic partners recently in canon, I go over a little of the history of their relationship, the problem with writing off queer characters, and of course, the Harley Quinn animated series' new upcoming comic, Harley Quinn: The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour! If the title alone doesn't get you, I have plenty of other reasons you might fid this series enjoyable.
I'll be back this coming Friday, JULY 2nd, for episode 24B, which will focus on Loki ep4, the comic book pick list, and whatever is newsworthy in he industry between now and then! In the meantime, stay hydrated, and get sweaty about comics!
Friday Jun 25, 2021
Friday Jun 25, 2021
Happy Friday! This Friday episode starts with the usual weekly comic book pick list, and boy did we have some great picks! I mostly discuss Homesick Pilot #6, Harley Quinn #4, and Batman: Reptilian #1, but also touch on Silk, Captain Marvel, Marvel Voices Pride, and some others!
After the picks, we go straight into this week's third episode of Loki. It was a very different watching experience than the previous two, and not necessarily in good ways. But we did learn some integral information about the TVA and our cast of characters, and I discuss all the speculation as well!
After a brief mention of Superman and Lois, I discuss the new trailers for The Suicide Squad and Shang Chi! I'm excited for both movies, for totally different reasons. And since Shang-Chi has such an involved world it's tying into, there are a lot of Easter eggs to be on the lookout for!
Finally, this week's podcasts wrap up with the news of a new era for the Amazing Spider-Man, complete with some major switch-ups, including the return of Ben Reilly! There's a whole new set of creatives on these new projects, so if you're a fan of Spider-Man, you'll want to stay in the loop!
I'll be back for a new episode this coming Monday, June 28th, where I'll discuss the coming week's comic book pull list, tonight's episode of the Bad Batch, and whatever other news or speculation rears it's head between now and then! In the meantime, stay cool this hot summer; hydrate, hippies; practice empathy; get sweaty about comics!
Monday Jun 21, 2021
Monday Jun 21, 2021
Hello and happy first day of summer! Today's "A" episode starts with the regular weekly comic book pull list, including 18 comics from a variety of publishers! My spotlights on representation this week are for Marvel's Voices: Pride #1 Silk #4, Harley Quinn #4, Captain Marvel #29, and Eros and Psyche #4. Between excellent female creators and interesting female characters, this is a big week for women and the queer community in comics!
Then I go over this past Friday's episode of the Bad Batch, episode 8, where Crosshair finally catches up to the gang, and a fan-favorite (although certainly not my own favorite) character from Clone Wars makes a sneaky return.
The DCEU had some exciting BTS-pics released this week, some official and some leaked from set. The picture of behind-the-scenes on the Flash movie set show some interesting insights and leave room for tons of speculation, while the official Shazam Family photo for Fury of the Gods makes me excited for a much more mature take!
Finally, this morning saw the release of the first official Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins movie trailer! While I'm far from being a Joe's sweaty, I know enough to be able to appreciate the movie for what it is, and have a few insights to the actors' histories.
I'll be back this Friday, June 25th, for another episode focusing on Wednesday's Loki episode 3, the comic book Pick list, and whatever news or speculation breaks between now and then! In the meantime, have a blessed solstice, and remember to get sweaty.
Friday Jun 18, 2021
Friday Jun 18, 2021
Happy Friday to you all! As Loki episode 2 premiered on Wednesday, this "A" episode starts with my discussion of it! There are some interesting theories to unpack, so check it out!
Then there's the comic book pick list, going over my favorite things from this week's comics! The list this week includes The Mighty Valkyries, the Many Deaths of Laila Starr, Luna, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Sonjaversal, Planet Size X-Men, and of course, Demon Days: Mariko. I love how female-forward this weeks reads were!
I only have a few comments to make on the latest episode of Superman and Lois, unfortunately, which is followed by the news of an additional Castlevania series, the Marvel Dark Ages AU finally being re-announced, and finally, my statement on if superheroes do or don't (they do).
I wrap up the episode with a brief explanation of Juneteenth, since the holiday is tomorrow, and it is the first time the government officially recognizes the holiday. If you're unsure of how to feel about the holiday or it's name, I do my best to explain it in understandable terms.
I'll be back this coming Monday, June 21st, to discuss the coming comics pull list, tonight's episode of the Bad Batch, and whatever other news or speculation shows up between now and then! Stay hydrated; stay sweaty.
Monday Jun 14, 2021
Monday Jun 14, 2021
It's a new week, and a new Monday "A" episode! Today's podcast starts off with my discussion of the Bad Batch episode seven, which covered a fair amount of ground, including the introduction of Rex to Omega! Gotta love it when worlds collide, even if they're just the same universe.
My weekly comic book pull list is a beast this week! It includes popular gems such as Demon Days: Mariko #1, Planet-Size X-Men #1, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #1, and more for the Hellfire Gala, but also indie treasures like the final issue of Maria Llovet's Luna, Ram V and Filipe Andrade's the Many Deaths of Laila Star #3, the ridiculously pleasing Sonjaversal #5, and so much more! Specifically, I talk about a whopping 21 different comics that are releasing this week!
Finally, to end on a happ(iest place on earth)y note, I talk a little about Avengers Campus at Disney's California Adventure! I had previously gone through announced expectations, but now that the park is open to visitors, I have a little more information on hos things are, what the expect, and what you'll see and eat! I haven't been myself, but I's so love to!
I'll be back this Friday, June 18th for episode 22B, which will cover the best things out of this new comic book week, this Wednesday's second episode of Loki, and whatever news and theories break in nerd culture between now and then! Until then, stay cool, but get sweaty :)
Friday Jun 11, 2021
Friday Jun 11, 2021
Hello and Happy Friday! Today's "B" episode starts with the weekly comic pick list, including Karmen #4, the Hellfire Gala X-Men comics, and a few more great additions. The main event, however, is the Loki episode 1 discussion! I'm covering comic factoids, references, theories, character names and general plot points for what was an excellent pilot episode! Loki episodes on Disney+ premier on Wednesdays, and I will discuss them on Friday's going forward.
After a brief discussion of the questionable Superman and Lois episode 9 reveal, it's on to comic book culture news and updates, including the title announcement for Aquaman 2, the first news of War of the Rohirrim, a new arc of the Man-Eaters comic, Marvel Venom and Hulk comic series updates, the Millarworld on Netflix as well as their upcoming live-action Cowboy Bebop show, and finally, the Titania casting news for She-Hulk on Disney+!
I wrap this one up with a quick walk-through of this year's Eisner Nominee list--the Eisner awards are the Oscars of the comic-writing world, so it's a big deal and well celebrated each year. Congratulations to all the nominees!
I'll be back this coming Monday, June 14th, for episode 22A, which will include the coming comic book pull list, the new episode of the Bad Batch (premiering today on Disney+), and whatever news and speculation breaks between now and then! In the meantime, stay cool this warm, late-spring weekend, but DO get sweaty about comics!
Monday Jun 07, 2021
Monday Jun 07, 2021
It's Monday again! This week's "A" starts regularly with the comic book pull list, spotlighting DC Pride #1, The good Asian #2, Children of the Atom #4, and Far Sector #12 (the final issue!), plus the rest of the regular pull list!
After the comics chat is my discussion of the Bad Batch episode six, as well as the first few episodes of Sweet Tooth on Netflix. I'm not at all familiar with the source material of that one, so my take might be a little...off? Still, it was fun to talk about, and Bad Batch is always a gem!
For news, we have discussions of Spider-Woman's casting for the Into the Spider-Verse sequel, and there's a lot to theorize about it! Finally, there is a prelude to Wednesday's Loki premier on Disney+, and brand-new rumors of certain Atlanteans appearing in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The source is sketchy, but it's still fun to deliberate!
I'll be back this Friday, June 12th for episode 21B, which will cover my new comic book day picks, Loki's premier, and whatever news or speculation breaks between now and then! Until then, stay sweaty!
Friday Jun 04, 2021
Friday Jun 04, 2021
Hello on this Friday! Today's "B" episode starts with the regular comic book pick list, showcasing what was good and interesting in this week's comics! This week I have a lot to say about a few titles, including the start to the Hellfire Gala for the Marvel X-Men, the fifth of twelve issues of Batman/Catwoman, Jed McKay's ever-glorious Black Cat, and the final issue of Sean Lewis and Caitlin Yarksy's Bliss--one of the most touching single issues of a comic I have ever read. Seriously, if you pick up just one comic this week, make it Bliss #8, in order to read the incredibly poignant ending story.
After comics talk is Superman and Lois, which itself was surprisingly touching, as well. I had to stop and talk a bit about how great the character of Lois Lane is portrayed as, and how awesome it is to see her continually working to better herself and get through her deep-seeded issues, no matter how perfect she seems on the outside.
The news this week follows Netflix's Jupiter's Legacy and Marvel's Thor: Love and Thunder! One was cancelled, and one finished filming--you get three guesses as to which is which, and the first two don't count.
Sweet Tooth premiers on Netflix today, as well as another episode of the Bad Batch on Disney+! I'll talk about both on Monday's episode 21A, along with the coming comic book pull list and whatever additional news and speculation drops over the weekend! In the meantime, have some fun as we get closer to summer, and remain sweaty about comics, always.
Tuesday Jun 01, 2021
Tuesday Jun 01, 2021
Hello everybody! I hope you have time to relax over the weekend, or are able to find that time in the coming week.
Today's "A" episode starts with the regular comic book pull list for the week, prefaced by my explanation of the Tom King Batman/Catwoman (Bruce/Selina) relationship as per how he's laid it out, and what we're learning in the 12-issue (plus one annual!) Batman/Catwoman series alongside artist Clay Mann.
After the week's pull list, I go into discussion the recent official announcement of Oscar Isaac playing Marc Spector's Moon Knight! The self-titled show is meant to premier on Disney+ in 2022, and here I go over all the information we know so far, as well as a good deal of popular speculation.
Finally, the episode wraps up with Horizon: Zero Dawn! The 2017 Game of the Year winner is finally back with a full-bodied sequel! This new story will take Aloy out west, to see familiar sights in ways we've never seen them before, and battle machines and animals she's never before encountered. Not only do we have that coming, we also have a second HZD comic series on the way! This second run will be called Horizon Zero Dawn: Liberation (as opposed to the first volume's Sunhawk title), and retains game-writer Anne Toole as series writer alongside a new team of creatives. While Sunhawk took place after the first game's story and mostly from the perspective of a new character, here I talk about what makes this new series different from the last--but just as exciting!
I'll be back for a regularly scheduled episode this Friday, June 4th! Until then, keep an eye out for my SAILOR MOON Podcast Special! Prefacing the upcoming Netflix Eternal movies, I'll be discussing the manga arc being used for inspiration, the original anime's version of the same arc, refreshing where we left off on Sailor Moon Crystal, and adding in my own experience with the format, and what makes this particular "retro" series still so cool today! That'll be out Thursday before I watch the movies, if you're interested! Otherwise, have an excellent week, and get sweaty about your hobbies!
Sunday May 30, 2021
Sunday May 30, 2021
Happy...er, Sunday?! SO sorry I got behind on this week's "B" podcast, but life got in the way! It's here, now, with an extra half-hour more run-time than usual! Whoops?
This episode starts with the usual Comic Book Pick List, featuring things that I loved or thought were noteworthy out of this week's new comic book releases. The pick list discussion includes a solid chunk of time dedicated to this week's X-Men #20 before diving into Beta Ray Bill #3, Made in Korea #1, Monstress #34, and Strange Adventures #10, among others! With great reads comes great discussions!
Then it's on to the week's media consumption, including catching up on the Bad Batch and Superman and Lois, my basic thought son Hulu's Modok, and the finale episodes of Black Lightning! For news, casting announcements for Secret Invasion, Sony's Kraven, and HBO's Green Lanterns are joined by news of an Okoye origin show coming to Disney+!
Finally, the episode wraps up with some fun (?) MCU-related rumors, including one about December's Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the other about the newly announced Captain America 4--an both involve the rumored villains!
I'll be back this coming TUESDAY, June 1st, with an episode going over the week's comic book pull list, as well as whatever more new and speculation gets out until then! In the meantime, thank you for listening, and for your patience with this episode's lateness. Wherever you're from, have a delightful, nerd-sweat-filled weekend!
Monday May 24, 2021
Monday May 24, 2021
Good Monday, world!
This morning brought us the first teaser trailer for Marvel's Eternals movie, coming out this November! As a bit of a "left-field" Marvel movie, this trailer settled most concerns that the film would be a bust. With an all-star cast of all types and ranges, a plethora of material to pull from, and basically a universe worth of material to introduce, this trailer made me certain Eternals won't miss the mark.
Unfortunately, Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead DID miss the mark, and by a lot. While I can take gore and violence in movies without much problem, there was a lot that added to what made this movie a big problem, and left me not only extremely disappointed, but mildly confused as to how it even got green-lit in the first pace. It just wasn't very good, and I have the receipts here as to why.
To end things on a lighter note, I finish off the episode with this week's Comic Book Pull List! With a lot coming out again this week, there's certainly something for everyone to look forward to.
I'll be back for a new episode (19B) this Friday, May 28th, where I will be discussing my Comic Book Picks--things I found great or noteworthy out of this week's comics-- as well as going over the Bad Batch episode 4 and any other news and theories that spark between now and then! Until that time, do your best this week, and always get sweaty about your hobbies!
Friday May 21, 2021
Friday May 21, 2021
Good Friday Everyone!
This week's "B" episode starts off like usual with the week's comic book picks--things I found to be great or noteworthy in the weeks comic pulls. Today's discussion focused on titles like Sonjaversal, Wonder Girl, The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, and Daredevil, with shorter bits on Luna, the Mighty Valkyries, and a few others.
After the comic books picks is the news! For the DC Extended Universe, there were announcements this week about at least two HBO animated projects, leaks of Matt Reeve's The Batman costumes, and Injustice: Gods Among Us finally hitting the big screen! After a brief discussion of Lucasfilm "news," it's on to a fun talk about the just-announced Avengers Campus eats! Careful, if you haven't had lunch, this segment will make you hungry!
I'll be back on Monday, May 24th for a brand new episode, 19A, where I will be discussing the upcoming week of comic book pulls, Superman and Lois' return to the CW, the Bad Batch episode 4 (which premiers today on Disney+), potentially Army of the Dead (which premiers today on Netflix), and anything else that pops up as newsworthy in the comics industries! Until then, have a stellar weekend, and get sweaty bout something fun!

Ep.18A: Comic Book Pull List, Bad Batch ep.3, Geek-Industry News, & More!
Monday May 17, 2021
Monday May 17, 2021
Hello on this fine Monday! I did today's "A" episode a little different, starting with news and speculation! This section includes info on the fifth Indiana Jones movie, upcoming film and TV releases, and news of AT&T beefing up to cage-fight Disney!
Then there is the comic book pull list, featuring a plethora of new and ongoing series'! The episode wraps up with a brief note on Castlevania season 4, and discussion of the Bad Batch episode 3, which was a great one!
I'll be back Friday, May 21st for episode 18B, which will feature the comic book Pick List, discussion of Black Lightning episodes, and whatever news and updates may happen between now and then! Have a fantastic week, everyone, and be authentically sweaty!
Friday May 14, 2021
Friday May 14, 2021
Happy Friday! Since this was a bit of a quieter week, this episode is mostly over the new comic book day releases that I found to be fantastic, minus Fantastic Four, which was a travesty, and I explain why (written by Dan Slott which I kept mis-remembering while recording, whoops!). The good comics include Karmen #3, Children of the Atom #3, Silk #3, Time Before Time #1, X-Factor #9 (of 10), Silver City #1, Justice League Last Ride #1, Batman the Detective #2, and finally Black Cat #6!
After covering NCBD, I have one bit of news surrounding the comic Bitter Root from Image, and it's really exciting news! I wrap up the episode with personal she-geek-life notes about my Black Widow theory, a cool decade-old comic poster I didn't know I had, and some thoughts on the character of Clea, who's reading list I have completed, and will have uploaded to my site later today! www.sensationalshegeek.weebly.com
I'll be back on Monday, May 17th for episode 18A, where I will be talking about the upcoming comics pull list, the Bad Batch episode 3, and Castlevania season 4! Have a fulfilling weekend, and always stay sweaty!

Good Monday to you all!
This week starts off with the usual comic book pull list, but before I get into all that, I wanted to talk a little about the comics and toy hunting we did over the weekend, and some of the amazing finds we brought home! Then, we can talk about new comics.
After the new comics pull list, I go over the recent tenth episode of Black Lightning, where things really seem to be wrapping up. After Black Lighting is Jupiter's Legacy, and I go over the first season as a whole! Some critiques, some praise, it's a mix bag this Monday. Finally, we had the second episode of the Bad Batch premier Friday on Disney Plus, so I talk a bit about that episode and what we learned.
The podcast today wraps up with my reaction towards the brand new Venom: Let there be Carnage trailer, which dropped just this morning! While full of a solid cast and crew, this movie looks to be heading to hit right about where to first did---making it a great movie to watch at home and laugh about. But I'd be happy to be wrong!
I'll be back for episode 17B this Friday, May 14th, to discuss my comic book picks and things I found noteworthy in this week's comic book releases, as well as whatever news and speculation breaks between now and then. Until then, take it easy, make the art you want to make, and get sweaty about your hobbies!

Happy Friday!
This week's "B" episode starts off with the regular comic book pick list, which this week included The Good Asian #1, Eden #1, Bliss #7, and more!
After that is a very, very brief note on the Falcon and the Winter Soldier behind-the-scenes Assembled episode, leading into a long discussion of the recent MCU sizzle reel! The clip included previews of upcoming MCU films as well as official release dates and titles for the Black Panther and Captain Marvel sequels! I even go into some chat about the characters and actors of the upcoming Eternals movie.
Then there is the Bad Batch premier discussion, going over the events of the hour+ first episode! I was pretty pleased with it, and am looking forward to where the show goes from here!
Finally, in the news and speculation segment, I talk about the newly announced Lady Killer movie, the casting of Red Sonja, fan concerns over the forthcoming Superman property, and then the Sailor Moon Eternal trailer!
I'll be back Monday, May 10th with a new episode covering comic book pulls of the week as well as whatever comic news breaks between now and then! Have a great weekend!
