Good day to you listeners! It's the super-sized Eternals movie review podcast! But first, we have to go over the weekly comic book pull list real quick (at 0:08:44), then onto the good stuff!
The Eternals discussion begins at 0:27:22 with that opening titles crawl, explaining the six singularities, the dawn of creation, and then Arishem and the Celestials both in the comics and as they are set up in the movie.
Ego, the Living Planet, and his connections to the Celestials are brought into the discussion at 0:35:00, before starting the basic plot overview at 0:38:01. This section includes the most basic of plot explanations, tied up with all kinds of comics history, Easter eggs, MCU translations, some theories, and more, all the way to the ending.
With the plot covered, it's on to the major and minor changes made from the comics to the MCU at 0:52:03, including retro and modern Eternals history.
Then I have an in-depth look at each of the MCU versions of these Characters at 0:55:43, covering all ten Eternals and Dane Whitman, and comparing them to their comic counterparts.
Finally, noteworthy moments in the movie are at 01:07:10, followed by my favorite bits of humor at 1:14:03. After a brief discussion of the movie's sometimes surprising music at 1:18:51, the episode wraps up with what to expect next for the MCU, spinning out of the events of this movie at 01:21:13.
Whew, I think that was it! Let me know what you thought of the movie and give me some feedback on what worked or not in my discussion!
I'll be back next for episode 41B on Friday (or Saturday) November 12/13, discussing the week's comic book pick list, possibly all that DCTV I'm behind on, more than likely more thoughts on Eternals, and anything relevant that hits the news! Have a great week, stay sweaty, and do good.

Then it's the weekly Pick List (0:42:00), talking Dark Knights of Steel #1, The Human Target #1, The Me You Love In The Dark #4, Dirtbag Rapture #2, and the horrifyingly good Batman: Reptilian #5.
As promised, I go through a Morbius trailer breakdown (0:59:06), talking comics history, trailer Easter eggs, the cast and characters, and potential future connections with the MCU!
Finally, I end the episode with the Eternals Pre-Cast (1:06:39), talking characters, roles, theories, post-credit scene rumors, thoughts before gong in, and more. I'm seeing it tonight, so we'll talk about it on the next episode!
I'll be back Monday, Nov. 8th for another episode covering the weekly comic pull list, the Eternals movie, shows catch-up, and more! Have a good weekend, stay sweaty, and stay safe.

To me, my nerds!
There are two very accurate things about me. 1) I love Madelyne Pryor (the Goblin Queen) in the original Inferno event (1988). 2) I love Johnathon Hickman's comics. So when it was announced that Hickman was taking over the X-Men universe and revamping the Inferno event for a modern audience, it was obvious I'd be all over it.
Here, I have compiled a special edition podcast to prep audiences for what's coming in Inferno (2021)! I even included a coinciding blog post that features images I reference during the podcast, so make sure to click the link below to follow along:
Here's what I'm covering in this Inferno discussion:
The original Inferno event basic overview, 1988 @ 0:15:07
The character of Madelyne Pryor, Goblin Queen @ 27:08
How this modern take links with the OG Inferno @ 0:43:48
A brief mention of Inferno (2015) (didn't get the timestamp sorry lol)
Modern Inferno prep, HoX/PoX crash course @ 0:48:52
How Destiny and Mystique fit into this @ 0:57:06
The question of clones on Krakoa @ 1:02:02
And finally, the other players @ 1:05:33
I think that covers it all! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or theories you'd like to discuss, let me know! Interact with the podcast in whatever way you can, or find me on social media! Otherwise, I'll b back for our regularly scheduled Friday "B" Episode on October 1st, talking NCBD, What If...? and Titans! Do your best, be empathetic, and sweat it out, my friends.

Bit of a shorter episode today as I'm making time for a special edition podcast!
Pull list @ 0:09:39 Covering a number of #1's as well as some final issues!

Doom Patrol S.3 part 1 @ 0:39:05 The first 3 episodes are up on HBO Max, and I had a blast watching them and trying to catch all the Easter eggs! I'm sure I didn't catch it all, but I discuss everything here.
I'll be back (aside from the special edition Inferno prep podcast!) this Friday, October 1st, for 35B! I'll be talking comic picks, along with the new episodes of What If...? and Titans! Have a stellar sweaty week!

DC Comics December @ 1:04:00
Good Monday, and Happy Autumn! This week's "A" episode kicks off with one big bit of news, focusing on the trailer for Hit-Monkey, coming to Hulu in November! I go through the comics facts about all the relevant players in this discussion.
After the regular weekly comic book pull list, I'm able to discuss both Marvel and DC comics announced for December release! While I'm not going through every solicitation of the month, I've picked out a few from either publisher that seemed interesting or worth mentioning. While the Marvel discussion is longer, there's more variety in what I'm excited for at DC!
I'll be back this coming Friday, September 24th with another episode focusing on the the week's comic book Picks, the Wednesday episode 7 of What If...? on Disney+, and the Thursday episode of Titans on HBO Max!

Monday Aug 30, 2021
Good Monday! It's been a quiet weekend so I changed things up a touch with the podcast format, starting off with the news and rumors segment! The news this week brings us the official announcement of a Black Canary movie on HBO Max starring Journee Smollet, the casting of Poison Ivy for Batwoman, and rumors of Multiverse of Madness and the Flash movie!
Then it's off to the comic pull list, where I am happy to be able to spotlight a off number of comics with excellent character and/or creator representation! That list includes two Mirka Andolfo projects, Joelle Jones' Wonder Girl, Peach Momoko's Demon Days reimagining of the Marvel Universe, and more! It's a wonderful week for positive representation.
Finally, the last thing I talk about on this episode are the November Marvel and DC comics solicitations. Marvel's list includes a number of one-shots and mini series', while DC's is a whole lot of bat-family goodness! There's so much to look forward to at the end of the year, and always more being added on!
I'll be back this Friday, September 3rd for the weekly B episode, covering the comic book Pick list, What If...? Episode 4, Titans episode 6, and anything else relevant for discussion! Have a chill week, stay positive, and sweat it out about comics!
Friday Aug 27, 2021
Friday Aug 27, 2021
Happy Friday! We've got a slightly shorter "B" episode this week, starting off by covering the comic book pick list! This week's list includes Barbaric #3, Marvel's Voices: Identity #1, which celebrates Asian superheroes and creators, and Batman: Reptilian #3, among others.
The two shows I'm discussing on this episode are Marvel's What If...? episode three and Titans on HBO Max episode five! Both give a great deal to talk about and theorize over!
I'll be back on Monday, August 30th for our last episode of the month, featuring the comics Pull List the news, and more!
Tuesday Aug 24, 2021
Tuesday Aug 24, 2021
It's Tuesday, again! I took a gamble on the rumors being true about a Spider-Man trailer and waited off on the podcast till today--my gamble was correct! Last night debut the first teaser trailer for Jon Watts' No Way Home, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya! And in this podcast, I go over it all. From comics inspiration to potential plotlines, character cameos to barely-there clip flashes, I dissect the hell out of this bid deal trailer.
There's comics talk, too, of course, covering everything on my personal pull list for the week, including the delightful Cinnamon, Extreme Carnage: Riot, Marvel's Voices: Identity (celebrating Asian characters and creators), Stephanie Phillips' Harley Quinn, and more! I always have new comics to talk about, and they take up the first half (or so) of this episode.
I'll be back on Friday, August 27th for Episode 31B, covering the comic book pick list of things I found worthy of discussion, but also Marvel's What If...? episode 3 on Disney+ and Titans episode 5 on HBO Max! (Make sure to check out the links below, some are new!)
Friday Aug 20, 2021
Friday Aug 20, 2021
Hello world! I'm recording this week's "B" episode early on Thursday, but I still have a exciting, long episode for you all! After a brief bit of smaller news stories (including how the premier of Riri Williams' Ironheart will be in Wakanda Forever!), we go directly into the weekly comic book pick list. It was an enormous week of comics to discuss, but my favorites were easily the Trial of Magneto #1, Superman and the Authority #2, and Killer Queens #1! For an explanation on Tom King's Bat/Cat relationship as it's been laid out so far, and for how to understand the events of Batman/Catwoman, see episode 20A!
After the comics are the shows, which this week means What If...? episode 2 on Disney+ and Titans season 3 episode 4 on HBO Max! The former held an episode titled "What if T'challa became Starlord?" and offered a ton of delightful alternatives to the Guardians of the Galaxy and various Avengers casts, while the former introduced a fan favorite villain in an episode named after her: Blackfire. Being enamored with her portrayal in the show so far, I did some research on Komand'r's comic origin and history to compare to her show version as we see it play out, all of which is discussed here.
The two trailers that came out this week were for Star Wars Visions, an anthology anime series of 9 episodes created by seven top-tier Japanese animation studios, and the second was for Eternals, in which we got the first bit of plot details for the upcoming MCU film. I'm desperately excited about both projects, and have all the information available for them discussed in the episode.
Finally, and importantly, I'm talking this week about Substack. If you're a comics fan, odds are you've heard this company name floating around your circles of late, and there's several valid reasons why. In this discussion, I cover the topics of: What is going on with Substack? What creators have signed on? What is the creator draw to Substack? Is this sustainable? How will this impact the comics industry as a whole? And, what are the criticisms? I hope I answer any questions or concerns you may have over this topic, but I'd also like to know the opinions on Substack and what they're doing right now, from other comics readers, specifically. Are you planning on subscribing? Will it replace your traditional pull list? Do YOU think it will last, or will drastically change the industry? Let me know your thoughts!
I'll be back for episode 31A on Monday, August 23rd, discussing the coming comic book pull list for the week, possibly the finale of Superman and Lois, and whatever hits the news between now and then. Till then, party responsibly, live with empathy, and get sweaty about what you love.

Hello Monday! This week's "A" episode starts as normal, with the weekly comic book pull list! This week's incoming comics include a good deal of indie #1's some final issues, and three different Tom King titles! For an explanation on King's Bat/Cat romance as we've seen it play out so far, see episode 20A!
The big TV event of the past few days was the finale episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 1. I loved the whole thing, which was full of tension, passion, and emotion! All of which are discussed in depth, as well as theories for the next season and where characters will go from here.
Finally, in the news, I discuss some theories I have for Titans season 3, the announcement of the Wonder Woman Evolution series, Nichelle Nichols' (see: Star Trek's Lt. Uhura) conservatorship situation, and the coming episode of What If...?, which will be sure to tug on all of our heartstrings just a bit. And don't forget, Shang Chi tickets are now on sale!
I'll be back this Friday, August 20th with an episode that will include the weekly comic book Pick list, discussion of Titans episode 4 and What If...? episode 2, possibly as well as the episodes of Superman and Lois I've missed, but no promises on that one. In the meantime, have an excellent week, and stay sweaty!

Bwah-buh-buh-Bwaaahhh (air horn noises) It's another extra-sized podcast episode on this lucky Friday the 13th!
This week had SO much to talk about, I didn't want to leave anything out! We start the episode as usual with the comic book pick list, discussing titles like Mamo, Daredevil, Captain Marvel, and Fantastic Four: Life Story! After the pick list is a special segment on Free Comic Book Day 2021, which takes pace this Saturday, August 14th at your local comic book stores! Pop in during their event hours for a selection of FREE comics, which I highlight my personal upcoming favorites from here!
After comics chat is the shows! We have three shows to discuss this week, starting with the premier of What If...? on Disney+. The premier episode was "What if...Peggy Carter was the first Avenger?" And boy, did it ROCK! I discuss all the relevant information about the episode relating to comic history, of course! After What If...? is Titans, season 3! The first 3 episodes were dropped on HBO Max yesterday, and they. were. epic! From a Death in the Family to the Killing Joke to every Easter egg I could find, it's a long, excitable discussion of this first releases from Titans season 3! Finally, I briefly discuss Taika Waititi's Reservation Dogs, another amazing show that premiered recently, which I cannot recommend enough to fans of Waititi's humor and storytelling style. Available to binge the first two episodes on Hulu!
Once we get past the TV talk, onto the news! This week's news includes the casts of Netflix's Wednesday, which will follow Wednesday Addams and her parents, as well as Netflix's live-action Avatar remake. While I'm hesitant about the latter for obvious reasons, the showrunners of this new Avatar seem to have a solid grasp of where they're going with the show and it's characters.
The last bit of news I wanted to share today involved Tim Drake officially becoming a member of the LGBTQ+ community at DC comics. I found a truly stellar article from Nerdist writer Eric Diaz on why this is an important development, both historically and in modern comics history. You can find the article here, or listen to me read it for you during this episode, because Diaz hit exactly the points I had in mind-- and so eloquently. Major Kudos.
The episode wraps up with a brief statement on how Disney's Jungle Cruise is so much like a remake of The Mummy (1999). Trust me, I'll walk you through this one! It'll be fun, I promise.
I'll be back this coming Monday, August 16th for another "A" episode, following the new comic book pulls for the week, the finale of Star Wars: the Bad Batch (which premiers tonight on Disney+), and any other industry news or speculation that breaks between now and then! Have a great weekend, stay hydrated, don't be a Karen, and do be sweaty!

Tuesday Aug 10, 2021
This week's "A" Episode is appearing on Tuesday due to technical difficulties, of sorts. We kick things off this week with the usual weekly comic book pull list, including I am Batman #0, Mamo #2, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, and more!
After that is the discussion of James Gunn's The Suicide Squad! Spoilers and mild disappointment abound. What? Disappointment?? Yep. I try to explain as clearly as I can why I only watched the movie once over the weekend. However, my discussion also includes summaries of each character's comic iteration compared with the movie version!
After that is a talk exploring episode 5 of the Bad Batch, which has its series finale this Friday. "Return to Kamino" held a number of key reveals, some curious teases, and a cliffhanger ending!
Finally, I clap back at some commenter who argued She-Hulk MUST be tortured to leave the Avengers, and how that IS bad writing. If I can come up with a more compelling story than the professional writer, maybe things aren't going too well.
I'll be back this coming Friday, August 13th with episode 29B, which will focus on the comic book pick list, the initial episode of What If...? on Disney+, and potentially the season premier of Titans season 3! Till then, stay hydrated, stay healthy, and stay sweaty.
