Special Edition Podcast Episodes are uploaded at least monthly, covering comics history, character backgrounds, MCU and DCEU discussions, and whatever else strikes mine and the audiences fancies. Tarot Lessons this week 0:08:52 starts our deep dive into the 22 cards of the traditional Major Arcana, starting with this episode's #0, the Fool. I go through descriptions from official reference sources as well as meanings gathered in my own study notes, as well as other depiction and variation of the Fool, a tiny bit of history of the card, and of course, the Natasha Yglesias Anime Tarot archetypes, still an excellent and fun teaching tool! And to add some spice, I also go into some light pop culture references to the Fool card that can be found, too!
Our Manga segment 0:29:42 focuses mostly on our new Manga of the Week: Witch Watch, by Kenta Shinohara! J'adore! And I hope you enjoy it, too. I have a little Manga News 0:38:57 that I'm still working on finding my footing for the weekly episodes, so bear with me as I settle on a design I like, and let me know what you want more of.
The Comic Books segment 0:44:26 features what's new in shops this week, with a few golden keys to be sure to grab. Previous weeks' Recent Reads and Event catch-up 0:53:47 features summary of Dark Web: Finale, Bloodline: Daughter of Blade #1; Lazarus Planet: Legends Reborn, DC's Harley Quinn's Romances, DC Power: A Celebration, Purgatori Must Die! #2, and All Against All #1 & 2, which might be my favorite from the bunch.
In TV/Movies 01:11:38, we talk New and Noteworthy (including the illustrious Cunk on Earth and the surprising Shrinking); in Announcements 01:15:46 there's the now-usual DCU nonsense, and the brand new announcement of Amazon's live-action Spider-Man Noir show project! For Anime 01:21:26, there's a bit of news on Demon Slayer season 3 before my own show updates, as I continue to search for a new hidden gem to take me by storm. As for Current Shows 01:25:54, I only have a few things to say on the Bad Batch season 2 so far, but that *REDACTED* was WILD and I want MORE Star Wars like THAT!
